Mary Kopczynski Winkler is a Senior Research Associate with the Center on Nonprofits and Philanthropy at the Urban Institute where she heads-up the Institute’s Cross-Center Initiative on Performance Measurement and Management. Ms. Kopczynski Winkler has more than twenty years of research and management experience on projects for Federal, state, and local government, as well as the nonprofit sector in a broad range of policy areas including public management, performance measurement, education reform and federal policy, adolescents and at-risk youth. She is a founding member of the Leap of Reason Ambassadors Community – a private community of nonprofit thought leaders and practitioners – committed to increasing the expectation and adoption of high performance in the social sector.
