Amy Morgenstern

Amy is President of Main Stream Enterprises, the consulting firm she founded in 1990 to help not-for-profit leaders achieve better organizational outcomes. Specializing in planning, governance and consolidation, Amy brings over 35 years of experience to her work with foundations, health and human service agencies, national, arts and educational institutions. Previously, Amy helped create and managed each aspect of the Volunteer Trustee Institute at Business Volunteers Unlimited, and served as Research Analyst at the Benjamin Rose Institute where she was part of a nationally funded team studying family caregiving for the aged. She began her career providing direct services as a music therapist. Long active in volunteer leadership positions, Amy currently serves on the board of the Treu-Mart Fund and as a Leap of Reason Ambassador. She is a past board member of KIPP Bay Area Schools and the Mt. Sinai Health Care Foundation. Amy holds two graduate degrees from Case Western Reserve University: an MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management and an MSSA from the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences. She is a member of BoardSource and the National Network of Consultants to Grantmakers.
