Allison Clear Fastow is an accomplished communications professional with nearly a decade of experience leading communication strategy for some of the nation’s largest corporations, nonprofits and issue advocacy campaigns.
Since the 2009 passage of the Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act, Allison has worked closely with dozens of national service and social innovation organizations in support of continued investment to expand domestic service opportunities for Americans and increase the employment of evidence-based competitive funding models in government at all levels.
As the lead communications strategist for a Fortune 500 healthcare company with total revenues of nearly $9 billion, she managed crisis mitigation and media relations efforts through a Congressional oversight investigation, implementation of healthcare reform and numerous state-based crises. Working with one of the nation’s top ten nonprofit organizations, she coordinated the development of a comprehensive digital communications program, developed and executed public affairs campaigns associated with numerous legislative initiatives, and managed national and state-based crisis response.
Allison began her corporate consulting work at a boutique public relations agency in Boston where she implemented comprehensive strategies for a wide variety of clients in industries including hospitality, retail, beauty, non-profit, real estate and development, as well as industry trade groups. She managed the regional effort of a national pharmaceutical industry trade group for the complex Medicare Part D coverage gap issue known as the “doughnut hole” and executed national and regional media outreach on behalf of a Fortune Global 500 project development and construction group.
Prior to joining Blue Engine, Allison led her own communications firm in Boston, Clear PR, where she offered a full suite of public relations services including paid and earned media strategy, media training and crisis communications. The firm specialized in assisting new business owners with creating and defining their unique brand and communicating that brand with key audiences and stakeholders through multi-platform communications programs.
Allison served as Producer for the first annual TEDxPennsylvaniaAvenue event held at DC’s Newseum, is a member of the DC Advisory Group for Peace First and holds a B.A. from Tufts University.
