Getting Noticed in the Absence of Political Leadership

Even seasoned advocates struggle to capture the attention of policymakers, particularly when their issue is not a high priority on the official’s agenda. Nonprofit leaders will share the strategies they used in the case of the Flint water crises to raise the visibility of their issue and voice of their constituents to force policymakers at all levels of government to take notice and demand action.
